GRUPA AZOTY PUŁAWY TO OFFER EMPLOYMENT TO TALENTED UNDERGRADUATES
Students of the Lublin University of Technology and the Military University of Technology have now a chance to gain paid work placements at Grupa Azoty Puławy. Also, the best three interns will be offered permanent employment at the Company's new power plant, which is currently under construction. On Tuesday, June 30th, the Management Board of Grupa Azoty Puławy signed an agreement with the rectors of both universities.

“We want to find the most talented students and help them with their future careers. I am convinced that this experience will better prepare them for adult life. The project is very interesting as the construction has just began, so the students will grow in knowledge and experience with the plant's development,” says Marian Rybak, President of the Management Board of Grupa Azoty Puławy.

The new 400 MWe gas-fired power plant is to be ready by the end of 2019. Once it has been completed, Grupa Azoty Puławy will become fully independent of external supplies of electricity and steam needed in its day-to-day production. Any electricity output in excess of the company's requirement will be sold. The interns will participate in the project, and the best of them will be offered jobs.

“Our plans for the future that are written into our strategy focus on education and research. We have already cooperated with Grupa Azoty Puławy on various research projects, so we are very interested in the work placements. Besides, we are a regional university with close bonds to the Lublin region,”
said Marzena Dudzińska, Pro-Rector of the Lublin University of Technology.

“We are delighted to be in dialogue with Grupa Azoty. We, too, work on innovation projects, which are often one of their kind in Poland and are developed from the beginning to the end at our university,” adds Zygmunt Mierczyk, Commandant-Rector of the Military University of Technology.

The internship programme for students of the Lublin University of Technology and the Military University of Technology is yet another initiative run by Grupa Azoty for young, talented people. In March the company joined the project of paid internships for top students, organised by the Ministry of the State Treasury. Two students of the Warsaw University of Technology selected in the programme are to start their internships at Grupa Azoty Puławy soon.
