VOLUNTEERS OF GRUPA AZOTY PUŁAWY IN ACTION!
As soon as the spring had arrived, 53 employees of Grupa Azoty PUŁAWY started their projects for the local community under the Employee Volunteering Scheme. One of them was a successfully completed project to renovate and equip a rehabilitation room for children supported by a charity foundation of Puławy.

Thanks to Grupa Azoty PUŁAWY employees, the Step by Step Development Support Foundation is able offer the children under its care a renovated rehabilitation room with all necessary equipment. The volunteer team painted the walls, and then purchased and assembled the furniture and equipment used in individual and group therapy for children suffering from autism and other developmental disorders.

“We received PLN 5,000 from our company under the Employee Volunteering Scheme. We added our free time and work, so that the foundation could receive valuable support in its mission to help as many children in need as possible. For our part, this gave us a lot of joy, satisfaction and pride. Helping others is cool,” says Monika Goluch, the team leader.

As part of another initiative undertaken by voluteer employees of Grupa Azoty Puławy, in a few weeks' time children attending Kindergarten No. 18 in Puławy will be playing in a new garden with a playground. “The children could not wait to see us start the work − they even helped us plant the flowers. The main part of the work will be done during a weekend in mid-May. The great thing is that we encouraged some parents of the children to join our volunteering effort,” says Beata Wójcik, the volunteer team leader.

The Employee Volunteering Scheme at Grupa Azoty PUŁAWY is an arrangement whereby the Company supports community projects run by its employees. The contest was for groups of at least three Grupa Azoty PUŁAWY employees who, in their free time and for no remuneration, volunteered to carry out projects they have themselves developed. Projects submitted in the first edition of the contest will last until July 31st 2016.
