The official award ceremony was held on February 20th 2015 at the Małopolska Garden of Art, where the winners were presented with special statuettes. Paweł Jarczewski, President of the Grupa Azoty Management Board, was among the recipients of this honorary title. Mr Jarczewski was distinguished by the readers of Gazeta Krakowska in recognition of the Company’s investment projects which provide employment as well as for its support of sport and culture in Tarnów.

The candidates for the ‘Man of the Year’ title were nominated by the readers. In line with the competition rules, a nominee could be “any person whose conduct or activity in any aspect of life stood out in 2014, and who enjoys good reputation, high esteem, and trust of the environment”. Each submitted nomination had to contain a factual justification, otherwise being null and void. Following the poll conducted from January 16th to February 6th, the Judging Panel of the Award selected 13 equal winners, five of whom gained the largest number of votes in the poll, and the other eight were selected by the Judging Panel, which took into account the nominees’ conduct and activity, as well as their achievements in 2014, reputation, and the number of received votes.
