“First of all, I would like to thank you for your kind reception. I am impressed with what I saw here in Puławy, how the plant operates, how fertilizers are made, and how advanced the Polish chemical industry is. You said that you set yourselves new goals until 2017. I was surprised to hear that and began to wonder what could possibly be improved in such a state-of-the-art and well-functioning company as yours,” said Makoto Yamanaka, the Ambassador of Japan to Poland, during a meeting with the Company’s Management Board.
The ambassador, together with his wife and accompanying delegation, met with the Management Board and Grupa Azoty Puławy employees and took a tour around the plant.
“We are glad we could show our guests the very best our industry has to offer, especially given that we are constantly changing. Grupa Azoty Puławy is evolving from a simple fertilizer manufacturer into a fertilizers and technology company, setting innovation standards for the entire economy,” said Zenon Pokojski, Vice-President of the Grupa Azoty Puławy Management Board after the meeting with Makoto Yamanaka.
During his visit, the ambassador asked questions on matters related to the application of fertilizers around the world. All his questions were expertly answered by Grupa Azoty Puławy representatives.
