The current market conditions have forced the shutdown of one of melamine production units (Melamine I – Line I) and a reduction to 50% of capacity at another unit (Melamine II). Due to planned maintenance work on the other units (Melamine I – Line II and Melamine III), from July 9th 2022 melamine production will run at around 20% of the maximum capacity of all units, amounting to 270 tonnes/day.

The obligations under existing commercial contracts, most of them being short-term contracts, will be fulfilled by the operational melamine units and from inventories.

Grupa Azoty Puławy is constantly monitoring feedstock price levels and will adjust production to market conditions.

At this point, the company is not in a position to accurately estimate the possible negative financial impact of the production cut.
