The Forum has recognised Grupa Azoty Puławy S.A.’s achievements in promoting a better work culture. These achievements include:
1. Continued collaboration with the Central Institute for Labour Protection:
- participation in government programmes and research projects,
- participation in projects organised by the National Focal Point of the European Agency for Safety and Health at Work,
2. Educating employees on occupational health and safety (through initiatives such as training courses, conferences, seminars, programmes broadcast by the company radio station, ‘5 minutes for safety’ bulletin, and ‘Visibility is safety’ initiative),
3. Efforts to improve working conditions:
- implementation of an occupational safety management system.
“Being awarded the Gold Card motivates us to work even harder to ensure safe working conditions and to engage in an active exchange of experience through the Safe Work Leaders’ Forum,” said Marian Rybak, President of the Grupa Azoty Puławy Management Board, expressing his satisfaction at the achievement.
As the holder of the Gold Card of Safe Work Leaders, Grupa Azoty Puławy S.A. enjoys a number of privileges in its contacts with the Central Institute for Labour Protection, including substantial discounts on training courses, seminars, postgraduate programmes, computer software and publications. The Company is also entitled to free consultations with scientists and research staff, and has priority access to expert and research services.
In addition, the Card entitles the Company to use the phrase ‘Holder of the Gold Card of Safe Work Leaders’ for advertising and promotional purposes.
This year’s award ceremony took place at the 16th Conference of Safe Work Leaders in Piła (held on October 22nd–23rd). Grupa Azoty Puławy S.A. received one of nine Gold Cards (Grupa Azoty S.A. and Zakłady Chemiczne Police S.A. were also recognised). The award was collected by Sławomir Jedliczko, Head of Support, and Tomasz Ogrodnik, Chief OHS Officer.

The Safe Work Leaders’ Forum has been established by the Central Institute for Labour Protection to implement and promote the use of science and technology in ensuring optimum occupational health and safety. The Forum admits as members only those companies which have had notable achievements in creating a safe working environment, as well as institutions engaged in promoting occupational health and safety. Depending on how they perform, the Forum members may be awarded a Green, Silver or Gold Card of Safe Work Leaders.
