GZNF FOSFORY TO MAKE FERTILIZERS FROM WASTE
Recycling plays an increasingly important role in the context of increased efforts to optimise operations and promote sustainable development in the chemical industry. Therefore in August 2014 Gdańskie Zakłady Nawozów Fosforowych Fosfory, a member company of the Grupa Azoty PUŁAWY Group, began to make use of phosphates from the retention reservoir at the landfill site in Wiślinka.

GRUPA AZOTY PUŁAWY AND GRUPA AZOTY POLICE SIGN STRATEGIC CONTRACTS WITH KRONOSPAN
Grupa Azoty achieves further market synergies.
Grupa Azoty Puławy and Grupa Azoty Police have entered into a series of melamine and urea sale contracts with Kronospan. The contracts, with the total value estimated PLN 900m, will remain in force until the end of 2018. The Puławy and Police plants will supply their products to Kronospan, the world’s largest manufacturer of wood-based boards, directly to Kronospan's Polish companies in Mielec and Szczecinek, Strážske in Slovakia and Ostrava in the Czech Republic.

ANOTHER INVESTMENT PROJECT PLACED IN SERVICE AT GRUPA AZOTY PUŁAWY S.A.
On October 6th 2014, a new investment project with a target budget in excess of PLN 108m was placed in service at Grupa Azoty Puławy S.A. The new ammonia storage facility, with a capacity of 15,000 tonnes, will provide greater stability of ammonia supply, the Company’s key feedstock. The project will enhance the security and consolidate the position of the Company and its Group on the domestic and European markets.

PUŁAWY COMPETENCE CENTRE BECOMES A PARTNER OF THE 1ST EASTERN ECONOMIC CONGRESS
Two days of discussions on matters that concern most of Poland and a great part of Europe, a dozen or so debates and sessions, a thousand guests from Poland and Europe, including prominent politicians, businessmen and experts − the Eastern Economic Congress, held on September 18th–19th 2014 in Białystok, was all that and more. One of the partners of the Congress was the Puławy Competence Centre.

GRUPA AZOTY STRENGTHENS ITS FOOTHOLD IN BRAZIL
Grupa Azoty and Comexport of Brazil have executed a framework trade agreement in Kraków. As declared in the agreement, Comexport will purchase Grupa Azoty’s polyamide, whose possible uses include production of structural fibres. The polymer sold to Comexport will ultimately be produced at the new PA6 plant in Tarnów. The new plant with an annual capacity of 80,000 tonnes is scheduled for launch in Q4 2016. The agreement of June 20th 2014 is also viewed as the basis for considering a potential joint venture project to further process the product in Brazil.

GRUPA AZOTY S.A. NND CHEMICAL RESEARCH INSTITUTES ANNOUNCE MUTUAL COOPERATION
On June 13th 2014, in the Puławy Research and Technology Park during the 2014 Polish Chemical Industry Congress Grupa Azoty S.A. and chemical research institutes signed a letter of intent announcing their plan to initiate mutual cooperation.
