Grupa Azoty supports farmers in soil testing
With the use of AgroCares scanners, Grupa Azoty representatives are now able to perform quick soil testing for farmers across Poland. Based on positive experiences gathered in the pilot phase, all Company representatives working with farmers across the country will be equipped with soil scanners starting this year. Grupa Azoty CEO Tomasz Hinc handed over soil scanners to Field Representatives during an official ceremony held at the Fertilizer Trade Centre in Tarnów on January 21st.

On November 13th 2020, the Supervisory Board of Grupa Azoty S.A. resolved to appoint Mr Tomasz Hinc as President of the Grupa Azoty Management Board, with effect from December 1st 2020.

Grupa Azoty Group’s performance remains largely unaffected by coronavirus pandemic

In Q1 2020, the Grupa Azoty Group reported consolidated revenue of PLN 3,104m, down 7.8 % on Q1 2019, which was a record-breaking period in the Group’s history. EBITDA and the EBITDA margin were PLN 476m and 15.3% as a result of a drop in average selling prices of products and low prices of gas.

A NEW MULTI-YEAR GAS SUPPLY AGREEMENT SIGNED BETWEEN PGNIG S.A. AND THE GRUPA AZOTY GROUP
On April 13th 2016, the Grupa Azoty Group concluded a new gas supply agreement with Polskie Górnictwo Naftowe i Gazownictwo S.A. Under the framework agreement and bilateral contracts, PGNiG is to supply natural gas to five companies of the Grupa Azoty Group, including the companies based in Tarnów, Puławy, Police and Kędzierzyn, as well as to Siarkopol. The agreement expires in September 2019. The total volume of supplies throughout its term may amount to as much as 4.5bn cubic metres and the value of the agreement is estimated at ca. PLN 3.3bn.
