Grupa Azoty Puławy and Grupa Azoty Kędzierzyn signed a contract with Agro CS for the supply and distribution of UAN, a liquid fertilizer, on the Czech market. The estimated value of the contract is PLN 80m, making Grupa Azoty Puławy and Grupa Azoty Kędzierzyn the key suppliers of urea-ammonium nitrate solution (UAN) to farmers in the Czech Republic. UAN has also been attracting new customers in Poland – the market is growing at a rate which the Grupa Azoty Group intends to leverage to restructure its product portfolio, while developing infrastructure and logistics. .

Grupa Azoty recognised by ICIS and Boston Consulting Group As the first company from Central and Eastern Europe, Grupa Azoty has made it to the ICIS Top 40 Power Players listing 40 most influential executives on the global chemical market. Grupa Azoty has also been named one of the global chemical sector’s most attractive companies for investors, according to the Boston Consulting Group, an international consultancy.

On Tuesday, July 14th 2015, the Management Board of Grupa Azoty Puławy received a visit from the Japanese ambassador to Poland, Mr Makoto Yamanaka. Grupa Azoty Zakłady Azotowe Puławy was one of the few companies in the Lublin region that the ambassador chose to visit in person. During the visit, Mr Yamanaka spoke highly of the company, underscoring its dynamic growth and innovative technologies.

INTERMAG Sp. z o.o. and PPC ADOB Sp. z o.o.’s accession to the Consortium, opportunities and development prospects of the agricultural industry, as well as current and future projects of the Competence Centre for 2015 were the main topics on the agenda of this year’s second meeting of the Puławy Competence Centre Consortium and the PCC Scientific Council.

The Polish ski-jumpers sponsored by Grupa Azoty had an opportunity to compete against the Azoty Puławy handball team in a sport discipline that was new to them all during a long jump tournament, the first of its kind, held in Puławy. Piotr Żyła, a Polish ski jumper, won the championship, having jumped a distance of 5.95 metres.
