Grupa Azoty’s financial results for Q3 align with estimates published on October 25. In Q3 2024, the Group reported consolidated sales revenue of PLN 3,085 million and an EBITDA result of minus PLN 120 million, with an EBITDA margin of minus 3.9%, reflecting an improvement of nearly PLN 228 million compared to the same period last year. The net loss for Q3 was reduced year-over-year by PLN 517 million to PLN 226 million, compared to a loss of PLN 743 million in Q3 2023.
This initiative stems from ongoing efforts toward restructuring and transforming the Group into a cohesive, cost-effective entity with a strong position in the European fertilizers, plastics, and OXO product markets.
Grupa Azoty Puławy has signed a Letter of Intent with Skłodowski sp. z o.o., signaling its interest in collaboration on renewable ammonia, which is planned to be produced at Skłodowski’s production facility.
After negotiations that began in early July, the Management Board of Grupa Azoty Puławy has signed an agreement with workplace trade unions to suspend selected cost-intensive provisions of the Collective Labor Agreement (ZUZP). Similar agreements were concluded earlier this year with Grupa Azoty S.A., Grupa Azoty Police, and Grupa Azoty Kędzierzyn in late August. As a result, cost-intensive provisions of the ZUZP have now been suspended in the four key companies of the Grupa Azoty Capital Group, in line with the corrective measures outlined by the Management Board of Grupa Azoty.
The Management Board of Grupa Azoty has adopted a resolution to integrate companies within its Capital Group that provide business support services, including investment preparation and maintenance. Work is currently underway to finalize the integration schedule and the target organizational model. By the end of November, a dedicated project team will develop an organizational and ownership structure designed to deliver the anticipated business and financial benefits of the integration. This initiative is a key element of the restructuring process aimed at achieving significant cost optimizations.
Grupa Azoty Puławy has filed a complaint with the prosecutor’s office concerning suspected criminal actions involving sponsorship and advertising agreements, as well as donation agreements, which reportedly caused financial damages exceeding PLN 5.2 million. The agreements in question were signed starting in Q4 2022, during a period when Grupa Azoty Puławy began experiencing record losses.
